What is religion? what is its necessity? Why is it that whenever we are confronted with a question of our"self" and our minds we fall back onto religions about which we hardly know or hardly truly care. In this blog i hope to deal with my mystical questions and with an odd abstract poem or story.
What better beginning than an ending!I'm not propagating any religion in fact i don believe we must adhere to any religion at all so long as we understand the answers to the questions we seek.
We all hope.We hope to live better to live richer to live faster.. to live.... This particular sloka is the main reason i find the bhagavad gita more connectible than any other religious text i hav encountered before. It gives us hope. After teaching us rigorously for 18 chpts on how we can find a resting for our sins in this sloka krsna simply says...
"Dont worry my son, in case despite all this u are in doubt and don't know how to act give up all ur religion and its beliefs. and surrender urself to me.I shall deliver u of all ur sins."
One must appreciate the simplicity of this message on the face of an extended conversation on self realisation which has just been completed. It is almost as if the lord is reaching out with his arms wide open to those who are willing to make the effort. There is something extremely worldly about it.
Coming back to where we started.Religion.I believe religion must be defined according to something like the bhagavad gita.A simple conversation unraveling doubts of a mere mortal.Instilling hope at each step and providing solutions all the way. What is admirable is although abstract in nature the gita gives real world solutions applicable to all in their lives. It doesn talk of attaining nirvana.. it only tells u how to take the constant pain away from u. It doesn hav its feet in the air.It pulls down the hole concept of religion back down to earth. If ever u wanna call it religion that is.....

good one man.. the gita sure does do that.. well put
in the present materialistic world the whole meaning of religion is destroyed, its being used as a decisive force rather than a uniting one.as a personal opinion i feel it is totally personal which religion and custom i follow, till it affect anyone.no one shud interfere...
good work dude.
